|   The band was established in 1986, in small community in the middle of Finland.
First line-up (1986-87): Mika Repo (guit.+voc), Markku Mähönen (guit.+voc), Tuomo Mähönen (drums), Ari-Pekka Mähönen (bass).
Second line-up (1988-1997): Mika Repo (guit.), Markku Mähönen (guit.), Tuomo Mähönen (drums), Jaakko Kauppinen (voc), Ari Komulainen (bass).
First band name (1988-1990): Riff Raff.
Second band name (1990-1999): Rising Power.
Third line-up (1999-2008): Mika Repo (guit./bass), Markku Mähönen (guit.), Tuomo Mähönen (drums), Jaakko Kauppinen (voc)
Third band name (1999-): Exception To The Rule.
Fourth line -up (2008-): Juha Arikoski (voc), Mika Repo (guit.), Markku Mähönen (guit.), Tuomo Mähönen (drums), Jaakko Kauppinen (bass, studio tech.)
Besides the "official" members there has also been a number of visitors in ETTR who has made some efforts for our band / music - for example Jukka Lipsanen, Tero Hannonen and Vesa Helama just to mention a couple of them.
Our music-style could be described as heavyrock, influenced by such great bands as AC/DC, Scorpions and Accept.
Most of our songs are composed by Mika Repo, but also Markku and Jaakko have put their dirty fingers into our music.
